The activities of the NAI  are shaped and guided by governing documents incorporated in Israel as a non-profit association for Higher Education. The Association for Educational Enhancement (AEE) or "the Association" is a  non-profit legal entity which does not receive budgetary support from government agencies in Israel. The Chairman of the Executive Committee, Head of the Association, and other leaders help set the strategic direction and drive the vision of the campus.
